What happens with regards to OpenGL rendering while the texture data is being transfered? What happens if, say, I have a fragment shader attempting to do texture reads on the texture being transfered? Will the values be unpredictable? Or will the texture streaming textures with opengl. Yet it only seems to work if I bind the texture prior to drawing. After creating the texture I get a proper texture handle, I set the 64bit value for my sampler in the shader.
